This group covers Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, Indian and other Asian cuisines that are not Chinese, and the etiquette varies by kitchen. Japanese and Korean restaurants often take reservations for dinner and may add a service charge for large groups; Thai and Vietnamese spots are usually walk-in and quick-turnover. Spice levels are frequently adjustable on request at Thai, Indian and Sichuan-adjacent menus, so say if you want it mild or hot. Korean BBQ restaurants typically charge per person for all-you-can-eat service with a time limit, and grills are shared at the table. Vietnamese pho shops post bowl sizes (regular or large) and a plate of herbs, bean sprouts and lime is normal to add yourself. Card and tap-to-pay are widely accepted; cash-only is more common at small family-run counters.

National City is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around National City is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Very clean and welcoming atmosphere. Professional and friendly service. Tried the chicken biryani and coconut rice and chicken curry and it is delicious! Great portion sizes too. Looking forward to trying other items soon.

I had ordered a Togo food from there - Chicken curry, Paratha naan, and Mango Lassi. All items were great. Their chicken curry is a a good option for people who want a change from the usual Butter chicken and Chicken Tikka masala. I must add a disclaimer - Unlike butter chicken and tikka masala, this one has a thinner gravy probably due to chicken stalk and or water added in it. It tastes really good. Their paratha are also very soft , well cooked and tasty. It is a welcome change than usual tandoori roti and naan. I would definitely recommend this place for a takeout order for these items. Bonus - Their Mango Lassi glass is quite large! I hope they keep it that way!

I always come here for a large iced chai :) super good and doesn’t taste like it’s loaded with artificial syrup! Not only that but they have a punch card where the 7th entree or drink is free! What a way to show appreciation to their customers!! Today I decided to try their flight to India!! ❤️❤️🥰🥰🥰 For only 17.99 , it’s a deal, got to try a little bit of everything. Ive actually been here a few times, tries quite a few dishes Lastly I tried the "Taco" which was their tender bread as a tortilla and their chicken. A slapper. The butter chicken is amazing, not a fan of the chicken in there, but their other chicken which is Chicken Fried, is amazing. Off the top of my head I could not tell you what other dishes and how to pronounce them, but they're all amazing A while back they had a sample platter which allowed me to try different kinds and none of then disappointed. The staff is really nice and kind as well. Definitely the best place to try indian food that is around here, without it being super commercial

I came here a while back with my godson. It was his first time trying Indian food (he’s only 13). The cafe is spacious, welcoming, and the staff are warm and easygoing. We took a seat at table and received ice waters. As it was my godson’s first time trying Indian cuisine, I ordered the butter chicken, but threw in an order of paratha and dosa to give him a little something unusual. The butter chicken was pretty good! Great consistency and well-balanced, plus a good portion and a heaping service of white rice. The paratha was good, too. It was cooked perfectly, had light flavoring, and paired well with the butter chicken. The dosa, though, stole the show. That dosa and the sambar and chutney dips were delicious. My godson and I devoured them happily. Nandri might not be the best Indian food I’ve ever had, but it’s definitely a great option, especially in an Indian-food deprived area of San Diego like National City. Come here and get that dreamy dosa!
